After more than 15 years in the financial industry, I've seen how many investors overlook the potential income strategies available within their portfolios.
I created The Income Shift to make covered calls and cash-secured puts easier to understand, without complicated jargon or hours of research.
My goal isn't to turn you into a day trader. It's to help you become a more informed investor.

No. The Income Shift is an educational program designed to help you understand how covered calls, cash-secured puts, and option premium work. Nothing in the course should be considered personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any specific security. Options involve risk and may not be appropriate for every investor. Always consider your own financial situation, goals, and risk tolerance before making investment decisions.

A brokerage account (individual, joint, or trust) or an IRA (Traditional, Rollover, or Roth). This does not work in a 401(k), 403(b), or other employer-sponsored plan — those don't allow individual stock or options positions.
Depends on the account. In a Traditional, Rollover, or Roth IRA, there's no taxable event, the account is tax-sheltered. In a taxable brokerage account, income and gains from these trades can be subject to tax. Talk to your tax professional about your specific situation, especially in a taxable account.
Individual stocks and ETFs only. Mutual funds don't have listed options, so this strategy doesn't apply to fund positions.
